Preparation:
The preparation for this program took lots of time and effort to achieve good curriculum and organization. The administrative team had to send diagnostic tests to assess academic level before the program. They also had to make sure that tutors had respective textbooks and materials to teach their classes. Each tutor had to prepare 5 lessons for their subject and participate in many team-wide meetings to ensure quality before the program started.
Our goals for the summer program:
Have students willing to receive tutoring from us during the regular school year
Positive parent and student feedback
Find what needs to be changed regarding tutoring to make improvements for the future
Gain insight from the perspectives of tutors
Host Post-Program meeting at the City Hall with every tutor to gather narrative
Pair up tutors for students who still would like to receive tutoring after the summer program
Help students get the supplemental education they need to be prepared for the upcoming school year
